Cascade Ice Supports American Diabetes Month

by Cascade Ice on October 4, 2012

It has always been important for Cascade Ice to support causes that truly matter to our fans. We know that a lot of our supporters drink Cascade Ice because they are diabetic, and must stick to gluten and sugar-free beverages. Thus, we are excited to share with you all that Cascade Ice will be working with the American Diabetes Association during the month of November to help promote National Diabetes Awareness Month!

We encourage you to read about and support the ADA’s campaign, “A Day in the Life of Diabetes.” They are asking Americans who suffer from diabetes to share a photo of a moment that captures what living with diabetes every day means to them. The photos will be used to build a mosaic image that will embody the message of “A Day in the Life of Diabetes.”

Whether you or someone you love lives with diabetes, take this opportunity to show your support and help raise funds for the American Diabetes Association. CVS Pharmacy will donate $1 to the ADA for every photo uploaded, up to $25,000!

Check out some of our TV premiere-inspired drinks and get ready for a relaxing evening.

Dexter‘s Debra Morgan is going to need a serious cocktail after watching her brother kill the Doomsday Killer at the end of last season! To make Deb’s Cosmopolitan, mix 4oz of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Cosmopolitan Mixer with 1.5oz of vodka. Squeeze in the juice of a fresh orange and lime in a mixer.  Add a handful of ice cubes and stir the contents. Then pour the cocktail in a martini glass and garnish with some dark red cranberries on a mini-skewer.  Now you’re all set for the season premiere of Dexter this Sunday!

And now for some Revenge! We can’t wait for Emily to return to the Hamptons and find out what happens next. To welcome back Emily, pour yourself a Hamptons Sparkler. Mix 3oz of champagne with 4oz of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Wild Berry and garnish with a cherry.  Follow Emily’s juicy quest for pay-back in style this Sunday on ABC!

Looks like we are in for a real treat on Sunday night! What fall premieres are you looking forward to this season?
