Hey Cascade Ice fans! As you know, Labor Day is right around the corner and that means barbecues, relaxing and enjoying the day! This week on the Flavorful Life blog, we’re serving up some tips on staying healthy over the holiday weekend.
Whether you’re hitting the lake or kickin’ it by the pool, good food and company are usually involved. When sharing a big meal with your friends and family, there’s going to be plenty of options for you to choose from! Trying to stick to your diet or health regime? You will feel more comfortable knowing how healthy the food is as well as contributing to your backyard barbecue or picnic.
Remember, it’s important to stay active as well, so don’t be afraid to fill in for that volleyball or football game! And most importantly, stay hydrated! If you’re looking for a way to make your party extra memorable, we encourage you to try one or both of these festive cocktail recipes! This Independence Day, stay refreshed! And have fun!

Red, White, and Merry Berry
Ingredients
3 oz. Vodka
Ice
6 oz. Raspberry Lemonade Cascade Ice
3 oz. Club Soda
Half a lime
Garnish: raspberries, blueberries and strawberries
Add ice and vodka in 2 glasses. Pour the Raspberry Lemonade Cascade Ice over the top; add club soda and a squeeze of lime juice, if desired. Stir to combine and serve with muddled berries!

Captain Colada
Ingredients
3 oz. Malibu Rum
3 oz. Blue Curacao
6 oz. Coconut Sparkling Ice
Ice
Whipped Cream
Garnish: Maraschino Cherries
For this Captain America-themed drink, combine ice, rum, Coconut Cascade Ice, and Blue Curacao in a blender. Mix until the drink is a slushie consistency, then pour into two glasses. For the finishing touches, swirl whipped cream and add a cherry on top!
