Quick and Easy Ways to Boost Your Energy

by Cascade Ice on May 29, 2020

We all strive to be the best version of ourselves. This includes taking good care of your health and monitoring energy levels throughout your day. With today’s busy lifestyles and the added stresses we encounter, this can sometimes be a challenge. Below we offer 4 simple ways to boost your energy levels that are natural and can be done every day with little effort.

Lower your stress levels

Stress can really take a toll on your energy. Chronic stress can worsen your physical and mental health over time and zap your energy stores. Make time to do what relaxes you – whether it’s working on a special hobby, exercising or relaxing. Check out our tips on how to manage your stress here.

Get more magnesium

Most of us are not getting enough magnesium, which results in feelings of exhaustion.  A magnesium deficiency makes your heart beat faster and requires more oxygen for your body to get things done each day. Try getting more magnesium the natural way = like eating more almonds, cashews, and hazelnuts, as well as fresh fish.

Drink lots of water

Another culprit causing your energy levels to drop is dehydration. Quite literally, your body runs on water, and by the time you realize you are thirsty, you’re likely already dehydrated. Make sure to drink a lot of water throughout the day, and if regular water gets boring, grab a Cascade Ice Sparkling Water to add some flavor! You will find that upping your water intake will give you a boost of energy to power through the day.

Try a power nap

A recent study conducted by the National Institutes of Health found that taking an hour-long nap can prevent feelings of fatigue. Even if you don’t have the time to take a 1-hour nap each day, smaller naps can also be beneficial in helping with burnout.

Getting Energized with Healthy Yogi Karla Tafra

by Cascade Ice on October 17, 2019

Wake up. Coffee. Crash. Repeat.

To get a jump on the day, millions of people reach for caffeine in the form of coffee. But coffee can often lead to an energy crash because of all the “extras” we add, such as sugar, sweetened creamers and flavored syrups. Not only does it cause a slump, but all the additions to your coffee can pack on the calories as well.

Our friend (and popular yoga and healthy lifestyle influencer) Karla Tafra recently shared her thoughts on staying hydrated while also maintaining energy in the healthiest way possible. Instead of coffee, she reaches for new Cascade Ice USDA Organic Caffeinated Waters to keep her energized and hydrated.

Karla said, “With only 3 ingredients, carbonated water, natural organic flavors and organic caffeine, this little can is filled with all the goodness. And don’t let me get started on the flavors. From Citrus Twist and Black Raspberry to Grapefruit and Pomegranate Mango, everyone can find their favorite (or two).”
