by Cascade Ice on June 30, 2020

Red, white and blue homemade popsicles are the perfect way to serve (and enjoy) a sweet treat for the July 4th holiday! These fun treats will not only keep you cool – they’re also fun to make, and have simple, whole food ingredients for a low-sugar, low-calorie treat. The best of all worlds coming together just in time for Independence Day!

Gather your ingredients and your popsicle mold, and if you’d like the colors to be more bold, you can always add food coloring.

Patriotic Popsicles

1 cup chopped strawberries

1 cup blueberries

1 chopped banana

3 cups plain greek yogurt

1 cup of Cascade Ice Sparkling Water in Coconut

Blend strawberries with 1 cup of greek yogurt until smooth, set aside. (Add 3 drops of red food coloring if you would like the color to be more vibrant)

Blend blueberries with 1 cup of greek yogurt until smooth, set aside. (Add 3 drops of blue food coloring if you would like the color to be more vibrant)

Blend Cascade Ice Sparkling Water with 1 cup of greek yogurt, set aside.

Add a layer of blueberry mixture to the bottom of each popsicle mold, and freeze for one hour. Then, add the Cascade Ice Sparkling Water mixture for the next layer and freeze for one additional hour. Add final layer of strawberry mixture on the top, and freeze fully before serving. Enjoy!

Indoor Essentials with Classy and Kate

by Cascade Ice on June 22, 2020

One of our favorite influencers, Katelynn from “Classy and Kate”, recently shared her thoughts on how she’s sprucing up her daily life during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because, like everyone, she is spending more time at home than ever before, she has found it more important than ever to create a relaxing environment, and to nurture healthy habits and hobbies that keep her motivated.

Katelynn’s daily essentials have been a good planner (to organize her day), books, paint supplies, and props for photoshoots. She’s had fun getting back into old hobbies and spending afternoons with the windows open, sunshine streaming in, and birds chirping outside while she works on various projects.

She also found a great way to add a little “something” to the days spent at home than a refreshing, light and organic Cascade Ice Sparkling Water? With only 2 ingredients — carbonated water and natural organic flavor – and nine different flavors to choose from, your days at home will never be boring!

And, if you feel like spicing it up during happy hour at home, check out some of Cascade Ice’s cocktail recipes for inspiration on some low-sugar, low-calorie libations. Cheers and stay healthy!

Spice up your Summer with Skinny Summertime Sangria

by Cascade Ice on June 11, 2020

Nothing says “Let’s welcome summertime” better than a refreshing sangria! This recipe will have your taste buds dancing, but won’t sabotage your healthy living goals.

Our Skinny Summertime Sangria recipe is made with fruit and wine (like most sangrias), but offers less sugar and fewer calories! While a regular or pre-made sangria can contain almost 300 calories for an 8 ounce glass, this recipe can shave off as much as half the calories, so you can sip with confidence!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup frozen fruit (reach for ones high in antioxidants like strawberries, blueberries and raspberries)

4 ounces red wine

1/2 ounce lemon juice

1/2 ounce orange juice

6 ounces Cascade Ice Sparkling Water in Wild Berry

Fresh strawberry slice for garnish (if desired)

Ice

Place frozen berries at the bottom of your desired glass, and add orange and lemon juices. Muddle the berries, and add wine. Fill up the glass with ice, and top with Cascade Ice. Garnish, sip, and take in the sights and sounds of summertime!
