Baby Blue Coconut Spritzers

Are you celebrating a bouncing baby boy’s upcoming arrival? Make sure you mix up a pitcher of Baby Blue Coconut Spritzers! Fill your favorite glass pitcher with ice and pour in Zero-Calorie Coconut Cascade Ice about three quarters of the way full. Take a large orange and cut in half, squeezing in the juice of both halves. Add six drops of blue food coloring and stir. Garnish glasses with the orange peel and enjoy!

Pretty in Pink Lemonade Punch

Celebrate the arrival of a beautiful baby girl with Pretty in Pink Lemonade Punch!  The night before your guests arrive, cut strawberries into thin slices and place in an ice cube tray. Fill tray with water and freeze cubes overnight. The next day, add your ice cubes to the punch bowl along with regular ice. Pour in Zero-Calorie Strawberry Lemonade Cascade Ice. Top off with the juice of three lemons and stir. Garnish glasses with a lemon wedge, pour and sip away!

Whether I’m relaxing or on the go,
I don’t even have to think twice.
My refrigerator door opens up
and I grab a CASCADE ICE!

No sugar, no calories,
No Way! This can’t be real!
No caffeine, sodium or gluten?
WOW! What a sweet deal!

 So many to choose from,
How could I pick a favorite?
I make sure to stock up my fridge
So I could savor it!

Huckleberry, Blackberry,
Strawberry Chocolate too!
Coconut and McIntosh Apple,
Are some of the ones that are new.

Can’t forget my weekend fun,
When my friends and I want to drink,
The Mojito Cocktail Mixer comes out,
We don’t even have to think!

An amazing guilt-free beverage,
It’s clean, crisp and delicious,
It really is a healthy choice,
You don’t have to be suspicious!

I’d better get going now,
My pen ran out of ink!
Doesn’t bother me at all
Now I can enjoy my drink!

Thank you to everyone who entered. Stay tuned for future contests and giveaways from Cascade Ice here and on our Facebook page!

Healthy Heart Drink Recipes

by Cascade Ice on February 9, 2012

February marks National Heart Month and what better way to celebrate by raising a glass of Cascade Ice! You can be heart smart year-round with Cascade Ice, but in honor of this month, try mixing up one of these heart-friendly concoctions that you can enjoy any time of day!

Pomegranate Punch
Pomegranates are full of antioxidants including punicalagins, an antioxidant that is found to protect the heart.

In a tall glass, pour in one cup of Zero-Calorie Pomegranate Berry over ice. Squeeze in the juice of one lemon and sprinkle in fresh pomegranate seeds. Mix and enjoy!

Blueberry-Watermelon Spritzer
Blueberries are an excellent source of heart-healthy fiber!

In a glass, add 1/4 cup fresh blueberries. Gently crush using a spoon. Add one cup of chilled Zero-Calorie Blueberry Watermelon Cascade Ice and stir. Garnish with a small wedge of watermelon and drink away!

Pink Grapefruit Fizz
Grapefruit is not only high in fiber and low in calories; it also contains bioflavonoid, a chemical that protects against heart disease.

In a tall glass, pour one cup of Zero-Calorie Pink Grapefruit Cascade Ice over ice. Sprinkle in fresh pomegranate seeds and stir. Add a splash of lemon or lime juice to give your drink an extra kick of flavor!
