Chilling with Cascade Ice Caffeinated Sparkling Waters and Drink in Nature Photography

by Cascade Ice on September 10, 2019

Long time Cascade Ice Water fan, Elaine with Drink in Nature Photography, wowed us recently with her thoughts on our new Cascade Ice USDA Organic Caffeinated Sparkling Water line. While she loved our original organic sparkling water line, she admitted she liked having a little “pick me up” each afternoon, without sacrificing taste or quality.

Also a native Northwesterner, Elaine recently took a road trip to the North Cascade National Park and drove the Cascade Loop Highway. What a perfect opportunity to try out all four flavors (Grapefruit, Citrus Twist, Black Raspberry, and Pomegranate Mango) while enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest!  She tells us it was a refreshing alternative to a cup of coffee with summer temperatures creeping into the 90’s.

And of course, as a professional photographer, she absolutely nailed it with her beautiful candid shots. Have you tried our new Cascade Ice USDA Organic Certified Sparkling Waters yet? What flavor is your favorite? Tell us in the comments below and “like” and “follow” us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

Things You May Not Know About the Importance of Staying Hydrated

by Cascade Ice on February 18, 2019

It’s common knowledge that a key part of living a healthy lifestyle is to drink plenty of water, and Cascade Ice is a great way to liven up your daily water intake. But did you know that there are some lesser-known benefits to drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day?

Regulating body temperature
Staying properly hydrated is an essential function in maintaining a body temperature within normal range. Because your body loses water during physical activities (and during the summer months), and sweat keeps your body cool, it’s crucial to replenish the water you lose so that you don’t overheat and become dehydrated.

Helping absorb important nutrients
Water is food’s biggest helper when breaking things down in the digestive system, but water’s lesser-known benefit in the body is how it facilitates the absorption of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients from your food. Once it helps the nutrients absorb, it delivers these vitamin components to the rest of your body for use.

Boosting your energy levels
Did you know that water can have a positive impact on your metabolism? One study found that drinking 500 milliliters of water boosted the metabolic rate of participants by 30 percent. A boost in metabolism has been associated with a direct impact on energy levels.

Improving your mood
If you’re not getting your daily recommended intake of water, it can negatively impact your mood. Dehydration can sometimes result in fatigue and confusion as well as anxiety. So, if more water = better mood … all the more reason to drink up! Cheers!

Back to School Lunch is Served!

by Cascade Ice on August 23, 2018

The school year is just around the corner! Time to put those boring and unhealthy lunches to rest with Cascade Ice. Here are some fun, easy, and smart lunch choices for kids as they embark on their new school year.

Chicken Salad Sandwich:

This chicken salad sandwich is one kids are sure to love. It’s simple and can be made the night before! Start by getting out a medium mixing bowl and dumping 2 cups of canned chopped chicken. Next, add mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped (small) celery. Put the mixture between 2 slices of whole wheat bread and pair with whole grain Goldfish snacks and of course your favorite flavor of zero-calorie Cascade Ice. With this lunch, we recommend Cascade Ice Blueberry Watermelon to add some sweetness.

Kabob Sandwich

This lunch is fun and healthy, not to mention super easy! First, you’ll need wooden kabob sticks. Start by placing an olive at one end of the stick to keep the food in place. Slide on a 2×2 inch square of bread, then add your favorite meats and cheeses to the middle. For our kabob we used one slice folded ham, one piece of lettuce, one slice of folded turkey and one cube of cheese. Repeat the middle 2 more time, then top it off with another 2×2 slice of bread. Don’t forget to pack your Cascade Ice! With this crafty lunch, we suggest a simple pairing of Cascade Ice Lemonade. Sweet and refreshing!

Health Pack on the Go!

The health pack is full of protein that kids need to get through the day. Start by packing string cheese, a sliced banana, broccoli paired with peanut butter to dip, and fresh edamame. To finish it off, Cascade Ice’s Organic line is perfect. We recommend Cascade Ice Organic Grapefruit.
