Election Day Cocktails

Election Day on November 6th is quickly approaching and that can mean only one thing – we need a cocktail! Once your vote is in, you’ll be ready to mix yourself a delicious drink and sit back to watch for the results. Cascade Ice’s zero-calorie mixers and sparking waters are the perfect way to enjoy a refreshing cocktail without all the unnecessary extras like sugar and calories. Try our red, white and blue recipes to get in a patriotic mood on election night!

The Red State Cosmo is superb no matter what side you’re on.  Combine 4oz of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Cosmopolitan with 1oz of vodka in a mixer. Squeeze in the juice of a fresh orange and lime and stir. Strain contents into a martini glass and garnish with some fresh cranberries. Cheers!

Next, try out our Bipartisan Spritzer, made by using Cascade Ice’s Zero-Calorie Coconut. Take 6oz of the Coconut water, 2oz of vanilla vodka and mix it with a handful of ice. Pour the drink into your glass and cut a slim orange wedge for the rim.

Mix up a Presidential Piña Colada while you watch the final votes come in. First use some blue sugar crystals for the rim of your glass. Then mix 2oz of Malibu Rum, 8oz of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Piña Colada and four wedges of fresh pineapple. Stir the ingredients, then pour them in your glass and garnish with a yummy pineapple wedge.

Spooktacular Halloween Spirits

With Halloween c-r-eeeeping up in a few weeks, it’s time to start thinking of spooky drink recipes that will have family and friends screaming in delight.  Filling up on candy and sweets this fright-tastic holiday makes it hard to feel guilt-free, but have no fear! Cascade Ice is to the rescue with some delicious and healthy drink recipes for your upcoming parties.

Brew up some Blood Punch for the kids’ costume party. Using a large punch bowl, mix 3 parts of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Cranberry Pomegranate with 1.5 parts of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie McIntosh Apple. Then stir in 1.5 parts cups of grape juice and 2 parts club soda. Add in 2 cups of frozen strawberries to complement the flavors and serve away!

To try the Boo-Berry Slushy, pour 5oz of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Blueberry Watermelon and 5oz of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Wild Berry into a blender, along with a handful of ice. Add a cup of blueberries and mix to desired consistency. Pour the slushy into a glass and garnish with blueberries or even gummy worms!

No holiday is complete without a mixed drink for mom and dad – we recommend The Screamsicle! Mix 6oz Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Orange Mango with 1/2 oz of Orange Vodka. Then pour in 2oz of whipped cream-flavored vodka in a glass with ice. Garnish your drink with some red or black liquorish!

Hit a Home Run with Tasty Drinks!

Who’s pumped for baseball playoffs this October? As the season of America’s favorite pastime comes to a close, celebrate by whipping up some great low-calorie drinks using Cascade Ice. The yummy fizz is just what you need to get into the game!

Root on your favorite team with a Home Run Slushy. Blend together 6oz of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Raspberry Lemonade, some fresh raspberries and a handful of ice for a slushy delight. You’ll have the perfect drink to toast with when your team makes the dash for a home run!

Now this is a fun one to try! Stay refreshed throughout the game with a Berry Double-Hitter.  Start off with 3oz of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Acai Blueberry Pomegranate. Add in 2oz of bubble gum-flavored vodka and some ice. Stir ingredients in a shaker and pour into a chilled glass. Garnish your Double-Hitter with an assortment of crushed berries.

Dexter‘s Debra Morgan is going to need a serious cocktail after watching her brother kill the Doomsday Killer at the end of last season!
