Whether you’re entertaining for family or friends during the holiday season, or simply want something fun and different at the end of a long holiday week, it’s a great idea to have cocktail ideas on hand. Holiday drinks are usually syrupy-sweet and heavy, with a lot of added calories and fat. Why not change it up this holiday season by trying out these ideas for light, refreshing cocktails (and mocktails!) that will put you in the spirit!
Below are two easy-to-create ideas from our friend Amira at Fall Over Fashion:
Cranberry Sangria
Ingredients:
Bottle of red wine
Bottle of Cascade Ice Sparkling Water in Cranberry Pomegranate flavor
Rosemary, sugar, and cranberries for garnish
In a pitcher, combine wine, Cascade Ice Cranberry Pomegranate Sparkling Water, and ice. Stir and serve with rosemary, fresh cranberries and for a little more sweetness, sugar on the rim of the glass.

Vodka
Bottle of Cascade Ice Sparkling Water in Coconut flavor
Rosemary, sugar, and lime for garnish.
In a glass, combine two shots of vodka (you can add more if you like it stronger), Cascade Ice Coconut Sparkling Water, ice, and stir! Serve with rosemary and lime. Again, for a little more sweetness and tang add sugar and lime on the rim of the glass.You can easily skip the alcohol and enjoy these drinks with these fun garnish ideas. As 2014 commences, so do your New Year’s resolutions! How are they coming along? If you decided to cut back on those sugary, caffeinated drinks, then we congratulate you and wish you the best of luck! To give you some inspiration, here are a few yummy recipes that won’t hinder your New Year’s resolutions.
Spiced Apple Smoothie
- 1 cup ice
- 1 apple (peeled and chopped)
- ½ cup Cascade Ice McIntosh Apple
- 1 cup Greek Vanilla Yogurt
- ¼ tsp Cinnamon
- Pinch of Nutmeg (optional)
End the day with a delicious Spiced Apple Smoothie! Peel 1 apple and chop into small cubes and place into a blender. Add 1 cup ice, ½ cup Cascade Ice McIntosh Apple, 1 cup Greek Vanilla Yogurt, ½ tsp. cinnamon and, if you feel like it, a pinch of nutmeg. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
Raspberry Lemonade Cocktail
- 2 oz. Triple Sec
- 2 oz. Limoncello
- 1 handful raspberries
- Juice of two lemons
- ½ cup Cascade Ice Black Raspberry
- Pinch of raw sugar
This is a great drink to have with a group of friends – it’s a party pleaser! Combine the fresh raspberries and raw sugar in the bottom of a glass. Muddle together until it has the appearance of jam. Add the Triple Sec, Limoncello and lemon juice. Add ice to the glass. Top it off with the Cascade Ice Black Raspberry. Stir well and enjoy!
Pomegranate Berry Martini
- 2 oz. citrus vodka
- ½ oz. fresh lemon juice
- ¼ oz. Cascade Ice Pomegranate Berry
- 1 oz. simple syrup
If your day needs a little something special, try this Pomegranate Berry Martini! Shake all the ingredients well in a martini shaker full of ice, and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an orange peel and serve!

Coconut Pineapple Smoothie
Start off your New Year right with a Coconut Pineapple Smoothie. To make this fruit filled breakfast, pour 8oz Coconut Pineapple Cascade Ice into a blender with 4oz of ice. Slice fresh pineapple into cubes and add 1/2 to the smoothie. Then add 2oz coconut flakes, 2oz Greek yogurt and 1 tbsp of honey. Blend until smooth.
Raspberry Lime Rickey
Power through the day with a Raspberry Lime Rickey. Pour 8oz raspberries, 8oz Raspberry Lemonade Cascade Ice and 2 tsps of lime zest into a pitcher. Add 2oz fresh lime juice and garnish with sliced limes. Mix well and enjoy!
Peach Mango Sangria
Mix up the low-calorie Peach Mango Sangria for a festive evening without a ton of calories. Pour 8oz of Peach Mango Cascade Ice over 2oz mango and 2oz peaches. Add 4oz dry white wine and 2oz orange liqueur. Stir well to complete the tasty, low-calorie sangria.
