by Cascade Ice on December 12, 2019

Whether you’re entertaining for family or friends during the holiday season, or simply want something fun and different at the end of a long holiday week, it’s a great idea to have cocktail ideas on hand. Holiday drinks are usually syrupy-sweet and heavy, with a lot of added calories and fat. Why not change it up this holiday season by trying out these ideas for light, refreshing cocktails (and mocktails!) that will put you in the spirit!

Below are two easy-to-create ideas from our friend Amira at Fall Over Fashion

Cranberry Sangria

Ingredients:

Bottle of red wine

Bottle of Cascade Ice Sparkling Water in Cranberry Pomegranate flavor

Rosemary, sugar, and cranberries for garnish

In a pitcher, combine wine, Cascade Ice Cranberry Pomegranate Sparkling Water, and ice. Stir and serve with rosemary, fresh cranberries and for a little more sweetness, sugar on the rim of the glass.

White Christmas

Vodka

Bottle of Cascade Ice Sparkling Water in Coconut flavor

Rosemary, sugar, and lime for garnish.

In a glass, combine two shots of vodka (you can add more if you like it stronger), Cascade Ice Coconut Sparkling Water, ice, and stir! Serve with rosemary and lime. Again, for a little more sweetness and tang add sugar and lime on the rim of the glass. You can easily skip the alcohol and enjoy these drinks with these fun garnish ideas. Simple Ways to Stay on Track with your Health Goals During the Holidays

by Cascade Ice on November 18, 2019

The holiday season is the easiest time to fall out of our healthy routines. After all, it’s tempting to overindulge in all the wonderful food, and become sedentary when temperatures drop. Here are a few tips that will help you enjoy all of the best parts of the holidays without putting your health goals on the back burner until the new year.

Remember your motivation

What made you embark on a healthy living journey in the first place? It’s helpful to remind yourself daily of why you make these choices, whether it’s a small goal such as taking a daily walk, or a bigger goal like living a longer life. Try to remember the day you set your goal and how you felt, and what your hopes were. Sometimes our brains need to look back in order to keep moving forward!

Don’t let temporary indulgences turn into derailment

Falling off the wagon happens to everyone, especially during the holidays. Just because you enjoyed some treats or a break in activity doesn’t mean you should beat yourself up over it. Instead, channel your energy into getting back to it when you can!

Mix it up!

Maybe you’re tired of the healthy lunch you’ve been packing for the last several months or you’re getting bored with your typical exercise routine. Try mixing things up with a new recipe for a healthy drink from Cascade Ice Water, a health-conscious indulgence, or a new group exercise class. You’ll be surprised at how a small difference can make a big change for you mentally.

Getting Energized with Healthy Yogi Karla Tafra

by Cascade Ice on October 17, 2019

Wake up. Coffee. Crash. Repeat.

To get a jump on the day, millions of people reach for caffeine in the form of coffee. But coffee can often lead to an energy crash because of all the “extras” we add, such as sugar, sweetened creamers and flavored syrups. Not only does it cause a slump, but all the additions to your coffee can pack on the calories as well.

Our friend (and popular yoga and healthy lifestyle influencer) Karla Tafra recently shared her thoughts on staying hydrated while also maintaining energy in the healthiest way possible. Instead of coffee, she reaches for new Cascade Ice USDA Organic Caffeinated Waters to keep her energized and hydrated.

Karla said, “With only 3 ingredients, carbonated water, natural organic flavors and organic caffeine, this little can is filled with all the goodness. And don’t let me get started on the flavors. From Citrus Twist and Black Raspberry to Grapefruit and Pomegranate Mango, everyone can find their favorite (or two).”

Chilling with Cascade Ice Caffeinated Sparkling Waters and Drink in Nature Photography

by Cascade Ice on September 10, 2019

Long time Cascade Ice Water fan, Elaine with Drink in Nature Photography, wowed us recently with her thoughts on our new Cascade Ice USDA Organic Caffeinated Sparkling Water line. While she loved our original organic sparkling water line, she admitted she liked having a little “pick me up” each afternoon, without sacrificing taste or quality.

Also a native Northwesterner, Elaine recently took a road trip to the North Cascade National Park and drove the Cascade Loop Highway. What a perfect opportunity to try out all four flavors (Grapefruit, Citrus Twist, Black Raspberry, and Pomegranate Mango) while enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest!  She tells us it was a refreshing alternative to a cup of coffee with summer temperatures creeping into the 90’s.

And of course, as a professional photographer, she absolutely nailed it with her beautiful candid shots. Have you tried our new Cascade Ice USDA Organic Certified Sparkling Waters yet?
